Johann Peter Tiedemann

Johann Peter Tiedemann ( also: Joannes Petrus Tiedemann or Johannes Petrus Tiedemann ) (born May 28, 1740 in Uetersen , † 1816 in Brande-Hörnerkirchen ) was a Protestant provost , clergyman and theologian .

Life

Tiedemann attended the academic high school in Altona , today's Christianeum . In 1762 he was the respondent to his theological disputation chaired by Johann Christoph Sticht . The transcript was called Disputatio Biblica De Oeconomo, Cuius Lucas Meminit Cap. XVI, 1 - 9 printed by Burmeister Verlag in Altona. After the death of Meno Heinrich Reichenbach († 1969) in 1770, Johann Peter Tiedemann became chief pastor at the St. Nikolai Church in Elmshorn and at the same time provost of the Rantzau provost . He held these offices until 1777, his successor was Hans Wittrock (1738-1819), who only held these offices for one year. After that, Tiedemann was chief pastor at the Evangelical Lutheran Church until his death. Church in Hörnerkirchen, today part of the community of Brande-Hörnerkirchen and was at the same time catechist and hospital preacher. He held these offices until his death in 1816.
