Johann Peter Waldeck

Johann Peter Waldeck (born May 20, 1751 in Kassel ; † July 16, 1815 ) was Professor of Law in Göttingen .

There are contradicting information about the year of his birth between 1750 and 1758.

Life

In 1780 he became a private lecturer at the University of Göttingen , in 1782 an associate assessor and in 1784 a full professor of law. In 1793 at the latest he was also dean.

His children were Christiane Sophie Luise († 1834; mother of the linguist Albert Höfer ) and Friederica Wilhelmine Minna (born April 15, 1788; † 1831; second wife of Carl Friedrich Gauß )
