Johann Radfux

Johann Radfux , also Hans Radfux , (born July 29, 1902 in Vienna ; † August 5, 1984 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

Radfux grew up in a large family and had to work as a machine worker very early on and make his contribution to the family's income. When he was 18 years old, he became a member of the SDAPDÖ and the free trade unions . At the age of 21 he became works council chairman in the mill construction company Amme-Luther-Seck, which was converted into an aircraft construction company during the Second World War . Radfux was arrested in July 1934 during the Austro-Fascist era because of his membership of the SDAP and was interned in the Wöllersdorf detention camp from July to August 1934 . After the Second World War, in 1945 he became district chairman- deputy of Liesing . The Russian commandant appointed the communist Karl Altmann as district head . With the first free elections he was elected district chairman of Liesing on April 16, 1954 and remained so until September 28, 1962, during which time Liesing was initially the 25th and later the 23rd district of Vienna. During his time as district chairman and deputy, he was mainly occupied with rebuilding Liesing after the war. His successor was Reinhold Suttner .

Tomb

Johann Radfux was buried on August 28, 1984 at the Atzgersdorfer Friedhof in the family grave, group 2, row 4, grave 22. The grave has already been abandoned, the tombstone removed and the grave site released for re-allocation.
