Karl Altmann (politician)

Karl Altmann (born January 8, 1904 in Vienna ; † December 29, 1960 there ) was an Austrian civil servant and politician ( KPÖ ).

Karl Altmann was senior senate councilor for the municipality of Vienna. After the end of the Second World War, in 1945 he became Undersecretary for Justice in the provisional Renner government , from 1945 to 1947 he was Federal Minister for Electrification and the Energy Sector and, in some cases, from April 1945 to April 16, 1946, District Chairman of Liesing .

He was the husband of Helene Postranecky .
