Johann Richard Rätzsch

Johann Richard Rätzsch (born December 11, 1850 in Dresden , † May 26, 1898 in Pirna ) was a German stenographer and author.

Life

Johann Richard Rätzsch was a son of Karl Heinrich August Rätzsch . He studied law in Leipzig and in 1875 became a member of the Stenographic Institute in Dresden. In 1877 he received his doctorate in Leipzig and in 1894 he was awarded the title "Professor of Stenography". In 1894 he was a representative of the Stenographic Institute in the general committee of the Gabelsberger School. As a contribution to a festschrift published by the Dresden Stenographic Institute in 1889, it provided a history of Dresden's revision of the Gabelsberger system.
