Johann Rudolf Tillier (Schultheiss)

Johann Rudolf Tillier (* approx. 1465 in Bern; † 1516 there ) was a Swiss politician .

He belonged to the Tillier patrician family in Bern , who had owned the city of Bern as a citizen since the beginning of the 15th century . Tillier became bailiff of Erlach in 1500 , councilor in 1507 , mayor of Thun in 1508 and bailiff of Lenzburg in 1515. In 1507 and 1511 he was a member of the Bernese Small Council . In 1512 he was a war council under Burkhard von Erlach at the piano parade , in support of Pope Julius II against the French .
