Johann Tesar

Johann Tesar (born March 3, 1895 in Annaberg , † January 16, 1988 in Lilienfeld ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP / ÖVP ) and master shoemaker . Tesar was from 1932 to 1938 and from 1945 to 1964 a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament , from 1962 to 1964 third president of the state parliament and from 1934 a member of the federal council .

Life

Tesar attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as a shoemaker. He worked as a shoemaker in Annaberg. During the First World War, he did his military service between 1916 and 1918.

Tesar was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1939 and arrested in 1944.

politics

Johann Tesar was a councilor in Annaberg from 1924. After being a member of the Federal Council for the Christian Social Party between April 27, 1934 and May 2, 1934, Tesar was a trade representative from November 22, 1934 to March 12, 1938, a member of the Lower Austrian Parliament. In addition, he was from 1926 and 1938 district councilor and district school council. In 1934 he was elected Vice Mayor.

After the Second World War, Tesar joined the newly founded People's Party and was Mayor of Annaberg between 1945 and 1975. Tesar represented the ÖVP between December 12, 1945 and November 19, 1964 in the state parliament and between March 10, 1960 and June 19, 1964 he was the third president of the state parliament. Tesar was also a member of the state and federal shoemaker guilds.
