Johann Theodor Schmiedel

Johann Theodor Schmiedel (born June 11, 1831 in Dresden ; † July 16, 1906 there ) was governor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schmiedel attended the Kreuzschule (grammar school) in Dresden from 1844 to 1849 and studied law and economics in Leipzig from 1849 to 1852 . After 4 years of activity in Dresden, he went to the administrative office of Plauen and then worked for a long time as an unskilled worker at the district administration in Zwickau and the Royal Ministry of the Interior in Dresden. Later, he was Councilor in the District Directorate of Dresden and from 1874 Amtshauptmann in Meissen .

From 1878 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Saxony 22 ( Reichenbach , Falkenstein ) and the German Reich Party . Schmiedel Kreishauptmann was in Zwickau from 1891 to 1894 and in the same position in Dresden from 1894 to March 1, 1906 . A few months after his retirement, he died in Dresden and was buried in the Inner Matthew Cemetery.
