Johann Wilhelm Braun (born November 29, 1796 in Stuttgart , † April 26, 1863 in Untertürkheim ) was a sculptor in Stuttgart.

Braun learned the gilding trade from his father and from 1820 devoted himself to sculpture under Bertel Thorvaldsen in Rome. In 1828 he returned to Stuttgart from Italy and initially worked as a gilder again due to a lack of commissions, but was finally able to earn a living as a sculptor.
