Johann Wolter
Johann Wolter (* 1665 in Lübeck ; † August 17, 1721 there ) was a lawyer and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
Life
Wolter studied law from 1685 to 1689 at the Universities of Kiel and Frankfurt / Oder . In 1692 he is registered as defendant at the University of Wittenberg . After his grand tour to Italy, he became a lawyer in his hometown of Lübeck. In 1708 he was elected to the Lübeck council . As envoy, he represented the city council in diplomatic missions in 1712 in Stockholm , in 1714 in Stralsund with King Karl XII. of Sweden, in 1717 in Berlin with Tsar Peter the Great and in 1719 in the peace negotiations in Stockholm . He was married to a daughter of the Lübeck councilor Dietrich Bartels .
