Johann Wurmbach

Johann Wurmbach (born April 1, 1796 in Müsen , † December 21, 1875 in Siegen ; full name: Johann Heinrich Wurmbach ) was a German mining engineer , he worked as a mine manager in Ramsbeck.

Johann Heinrich Wurmbach was born on April 1, 1796 as the son of Johannes Wurmbach (* November 12, 1771, † July 9, 1797) and his wife Maria Elisabeth born. Schmidt was born in Müsen. The trade union Josef Cosack , representative of the Ramsbeck trade union , hired the “professionally trained mine manager Wurmbach from Siegen” at the Bergschule Siegen as a factor and his responsible representative in Ramsbeck . In 1836, Wurmbach was designated as a union shift supervisor and factor for Ramsbeck. In 1847 other sources call him the smelter inspector. In addition to his work as a mine manager, Johann Wurmbach and his son Karl supported the construction / renovation of the Catholic parish church in Ramsbeck in 1847. When the Rhein-Westfälischer Bergwerkverein (legal successor of the Ramsbeck trade union) merged with the company for mining, lead and zinc production in Stolberg, it was determined that Mr Wurmbach would receive 250 thalers a year for the duration of his life.
