Johann von Böckenförde called Schüngel (* around 1460 ; † 1545 ) was Landdrost of the Duchy of Westphalia .

He was the son of Hermann Böckenförde called Schüngel and Margarethe von Plettenberg . He himself was married to Agatha or Gerhada von Fürstenberg in a second marriage since 1500 .

He was feudal lord to Neheim , Oevinghausen and Echthausen and owner of Wocklum Castle . Later he was bailiff in Arnsberg and Landdrost of the Duchy of Westphalia. Thus he was the deputy of the Elector of Cologne in his capacity as Duke of Westphalia. He appears as such in the sources in 1519. At that time he affirmed the promise to the city of Werl with his seal that the construction of the electoral palace would not impair the city's freedoms. He held the office of Landdrosten until 1531.

His son Heinrich von Böckenförde was later also Landdrost.
