The Johanna Etienne Hospital (original spelling) is a Catholic hospital in Neuss . It was founded in 1968 and has been part of the St. Augustinus Group since 2004 .
history
After 5 years of planning and construction, the newly built Johanna Etienne Hospital was moved into in 1968. It began with the internal medicine , gynecology , surgery , orthopedics and radiology departments . In 1990 this building became too small and a fourth floor was built as a new administrative level. In 1992 the operating theater was renewed. Three years later, neurology was added as a further specialist department . In 1996, when vascular surgery was added, the house finally reached its spatial limits again. A year later the radiology building and the central ambulance building were completed. In 2002 the non-profit Johanna-Etienne gGmbH came into being due to the foundation of the “Cor unum” foundation by the Augustinians from Neuss . To mark the 35th anniversary of the hospital, a new building for intensive care medicine and newly designed delivery rooms were completed.
The St. Augustinus Group has been the sponsor of the Johanna Etienne Hospital since 2004, making it part of the largest Catholic clinic and social care network on the Lower Rhine.
From 2009 onwards, expansion and renovation work was carried out on the building to restructure the central outpatient clinic, convert the surgical and neurological clinics, expand the operating wing and the day clinic, and build the palliative care ward , the entrance hall, the kitchen, the cafeteria and the café Etiennes to enable.
