Johannes Boye (politician)

Johannes Christian Gottfried Boye (born November 7, 1840 in Schönberg (Mecklenburg) , † September 7, 1905 in Lübeck ) was a German businessman and politician.

Johannes Boye was a businessman in Lübeck and from at least 1901 until his death was a member of the Lübeck citizenship , one of the smaller of the German state parliaments. For his hometown Schönberg he set up the Johannes Boye Foundation , which he endowed with 5000 gold marks in order to be able to maintain the local kindergarten. Johannes Boye Strasse in Schönberg is named after him.
