Johannes Elsäßer (born July 12, 1994 ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Elsäßer grew up in Unterschwarzach and started volleyball in 2004 at the TG Bad Waldsee . From there he moved to VfB Friedrichshafen , with whom he played in the regional league. He won the German Cup in 2009 and won the German U18 and U20 championships in 2011 and 2012. He played with the VfB Volley YoungStars for two years in the Second Bundesliga South . In 2014 the Libero was signed by the German Bundesliga club TV Rottenburg . In the 2014/15 season he reached the quarterfinals of the DVV Cup and the Bundesliga playoffs with the club . A year later Rottenburg came back to the quarter-finals of the cup , but retired from the pre-playoffs as tenth in the Bundesliga . In the 2016/17 season Elsäßer was eliminated with the club in the round of 16 of the DVV Cup and in the pre-playoffs of the Bundesliga .
