Johannes Petri Ungius (* 1570 in Hultsjö ; † 1617 in Kalmar ) was a superintendent of the Church of Sweden .

Ungius was born the son of the court preacher and pastor of the Hultsjö parish in Jönköpingslan , Petrus Petri Ungius . After attending school in Växjö , he studied at the University of Greifswald in 1590 and then continued his studies at the University of Wittenberg in 1593 . In 1595 he obtained a master's degree in philosophy.

Ungius returned to Sweden and became rector in 1597 and provost in Växjö in 1603 . In 1607 he was appointed superintendent of Kalmar . On the occasion of Gustav II Adolf's coronation in 1617, Ungius was in Stockholm and suddenly suffered from chills . He became seriously ill and died in Kalmar. Ungius was buried in the old town church. The funeral sermon was given by the Växjö Bishop Petrus Jonae Angermannus .
