Johannes Rasch

Johannes Rasch (born January 15, 1880 in Zella St. Blasii ; † October 26, 1958 in Gotha ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator in the Saalfeld district .

Life

Born as the son of a district judge, Rasch studied law in Jena and Berlin . During his studies in Jena in 1901 he became a member of the Arminia fraternity in the Burgkeller . After completing his studies, he worked as a public prosecutor and then went into administrative service in Saxony-Coburg and Gothenburg . From 1910 to 1914 he was an assistant at the State Ministry in Coburg. There he was also chairman of the inheritance and incremental tax office. In 1914 he became an assessor at the district office in Ohrdruf and in 1919 a government councilor at the upper insurance office in Gotha. From 1921 to 1922 he worked for the German People's Party as "People's Representative" in the Gotha regional government. From 1924 to 1933 he was district director and from 1926 district administrator in the Saalfeld district.

After the seizure of power in 1933, he was put on hold and then worked from 1934 to 1935 as a department head at the Reich Commissioner for the local health insurance fund in Thuringia. In 1935, as senior government councilor, he became head of the health insurance department of the Thuringian state insurance institute in Weimar . In 1940 he retired while still working in industry. Until 1946 he was chairman and managing director of the Economic Association for Glass Instruments and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Glassware in Weimar. In 1950 he moved back to Gotha.
