Johannes Reichmayr

Johannes Malick Matthias Reichmayr (born March 8, 1947 ) lives in Vienna and works as a psychoanalyst , psychologist and science historian.

Life

Reichmayr studied psychology at the University of Salzburg , later worked for Igor Alexander Caruso at the University of Salzburg and for Klaus Ottomeyer at the University of Klagenfurt . Member of the "Biographical Lexicon of Psychoanalysis" by Elke Mühlleitner , published in edition diskord (Tübingen) 1992. Since 2005, deputy head of the master’s program and department head for transcultural and scientific history research in psychotherapy at the Sigmund Freud University (SFU) in Vienna, Since November 2009 there has also been dean for foreign language and foreign programs. Works on the history of the psychoanalytic movement and on ethnopsychoanalysis . He completed his habilitation with the search for clues in the history of psychoanalysis , which was then also published by Fischer - with a foreword by Paul Parin . Psychoanalytic and psychosocial practice with migrants and exiles, especially from countries in South Saharan Africa. Manages and processes the archive and estate of Paul Parin.

Reichmayr's book Ethnopsychoanalyse was included in the list of 100 masterpieces in psychotherapy.
