Johannes Schimoneck

Johannes Schimoneck (born April 10, 1946 ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). He was chairman of the Suhl district board and member of the main board of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) in the GDR .

Life

Schimoneck attended high school and then learned the trade of toolmaker . He later studied and graduated as an engineering pedagogue. In addition, he completed a degree at the German Academy for Political Science and Law with a degree in political science.

Schimoneck joined the CDU in 1973. He served in the National People's Army and then worked in industry. Schimoneck was a member of the Suhl-Land district council . From 1980 Schimoneck was deputy and from 1984 to 1989 chairman of the CDU district executive committee in Suhl. From 1981 to 1990 he was a member of the Suhl district assembly . From 1987 to 1989 Schimoneck was also a member of the main board of the CDU.
