Johannes Stelzenberger

Johannes Stelzenberger (born August 12, 1898 in Münchnerau , † March 19, 1972 in Stockdorf ) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

After ordination in 1923, his doctorate in Munich in 1927 and his habilitation in 1930 in Würzburg , he became a full professor of moral theology at the University of Breslau in 1937 . During World War II he was a Wehrmacht chaplain and at the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the Russians, from which he did not return until 1949. From 1950 he taught as a professor of moral theology at the University of Tübingen .
