Johannes Tolle

Johannes Tolle (* 1968 in Kassel ) is a German conductor and entrepreneur .

Life

Tolle studied choral conducting , school music , church music and German literature in Freiburg and Trossingen .

Since 2009 Johannes Tolle has been “Artist in Residence” at the Déodat de Séverac Festival in southwest France, where he has performed regularly since 1993 with the Ensemble Resonance, which he founded. In 1997 he founded the Freiburg John Sheppard Ensemble, which he directed until 2012. From 1997 to 2003 he was vice conductor of the renowned Knabenkantorei in Basel. In 2000 he was elected artistic director of the Cantate Basel concert choir, which he led until 2007.

Johannes Tolle is founder and board member of the Freiburg ticketing company Reservix. In this context he also initiated the concert series “Culture in the Freiburg Court” with regular events in the Humboldtsaal above the rooftops of Freiburg.

In 2014 Johannes Tolle founded the Ensemble Resonance in Germany, a group of prominent European singers and instrumentalists who come together on a project basis.
