Johannes Trahn

Johannes Detlef Trahn (born April 17, 1930 in Struxdorf ; † March 16, 2015 in Flensburg ) was a German CDU local politician . From 1974 to 2003 he was mayor of the municipality of Struxdorf and from 1978 to 2003 head of the office of Böklund .

Life

Johannes Trahn was born in Struxdorf as the first child of the carpenter Johannes Heinrich Trahns and his wife Bertha Trahn, née Hansen. In 1953, at the age of 23, after the death of his father, he took over his carpentry . In 1962 he was elected to the parish committee of Struxdorf, the largest parish of the office. In 1974 he founded the CDU local association and was elected mayor of the community in 1974. He held this post for 29 years. In 1977, Trahn founded the Südangeln Water Supply Association and managed it from then on. The following year he became head of the office of Böklund (today: Office of Southern Angels). During his term of office, the creation of a central water supply, the establishment of the Struxdorf kindergarten and the land consolidation with its consequences for the population fell. In the course of the local elections in 2003, he did not run again for election. He continued the church political offices until 2007.

He died of heart failure on March 16, 2015 at the age of 84.
