Johannes Vogt

Johannes Vogt (born November 14, 1872 in Potsdam , † after 1937) was a German ministerial official.

biography

After studying law , he became a court trainee in 1894 and then in 1899 a court assessor . In 1900 he joined the administration of the Prussian State Railways . After being appointed government assessor in 1901, he was a member of various railway directors between 1904 and 1919 . In 1919 he was promoted to the Upper Government Council . After that he was Undersecretary of State for Railways in the Prussian Ministry of Labor for some time . In 1920 he was appointed President of the Wroclaw Railway Directorate.

In 1923 he moved to the Reich Ministry of Transport , where he worked alongside Max Kumbier and Rudolf Krohne as State Secretary and thus one of the closest employees of Reich Minister of Transport Rudolf Oeser .

After only one year, however, he resigned as State Secretary after he became head of the transport and tariff department of the Deutsche Reichsbahngesellschaft in 1924 .

As a board member of the Reichsbahn, Vogt held his position until December 31, 1935, when he retired. He was succeeded by Paul Treibe . From March 1, 1937 he was a member of the NSDAP. The date of his death is unknown.
