Johannes Wegerbauer

Johannes Wegerbauer (* 1955 ) is an Austrian graphic artist , designer , architecture and portrait photographer .

Live and act

Johannes Wegerbauer studied graphics , design and photography with Erich Buchegger from 1979 to 1985 , especially architecture and portrait photography at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz, and from 1986 received a teaching position for photography, which in 1995 led to a contract teaching contract.

In 2003 he completed his habilitation in the fine arts with a focus on photography. He is a university professor in the Department of Visual Communication at the Institute for Media at the Art University Linz . Study visits took him to São Paulo , New York City and Los Angeles . Since 1984 he has been a member of the artists' association MAERZ .
