Johannes Wende

Johannes Wende (* 1978 ) is a German film scholar .

Life

Wende studied communication science , psychology and media law at the LMU Munich (Magister Artium 2002) and directing for cinema and television film at the University of Television and Film Munich (diploma 2010). He also studied painting and graphics with Ben Willikens and Gerhard Merz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . From 2000 to 2004 he was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , in 2007 he received a scholarship for media art from the HFF Munich.

Since 2008 he has been employed as a research assistant in the media studies department of the HFF Munich. In addition, he led seminars at various universities, u. a. the Bauhaus University Weimar (2006) and the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . He also works as a freelance artist, director and screenwriter.

In 2013 he submitted his dissertation on the subject of "Death in the Feature Film", which was published by edition text + kritik . Since 2013 he has been co-editor of the film science journal Film-Concepts founded by Thomas Koebner .
