Johannes Zielinski

Johannes Zielinski (born June 22, 1914 in Hohensalza ; † July 23, 1993 in Bobingen near Augsburg ) was Professor of Education at RWTH Aachen University .

Life

After graduating from high school in Tilsit and starting to study high school teaching in 1932 at the University of Königsberg , he had to break off his studies and then do military and military service as an infantryman for eight years. As an expellee who had been severely damaged by the war , he was able to resume his studies immediately after the Second World War , which he completed at the University of Munich in 1950 with a doctorate in the subjects of education , psychology and sociology .

During his studies, he worked as a practicing social pedagogue in leading positions. With the state examination for teaching at vocational schools (1952) he became a vocational school teacher in Munich. His academic teacher, Ernst Lichtenstein , brought him out of this position to work as an assistant at the educational seminar at the University of Münster / Westphalia .

In 1961, Zielinski was appointed full professor for education at the Technical University of Aachen, where he was appointed director of the Institute for Educational Sciences. He held this position for almost twenty years. Zielinski died on July 23, 1993 in Bobingen near Augsburg.

The human-oriented pedagogy developed by Zielinski in the context of an industrial society can be understood as the starting point for the fact that, after his retirement (1979), he turned to the questions of a thorough humanization and divinization of man, which he in a culture of the divine Sees love realized.

Honors

Zielinski was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on October 26, 1990 .
