John Baptist Choi Deok-hong

John Baptist Choi Deok-hong (Korean: 최덕홍 요한; * July 7, 1902 in Taiku ; † June 8, 1957 ) was a Korean Roman Catholic Bishop and Apostolic Vicar .

Life

On May 29, 1926, Choi was ordained a priest for the Vicariate Apostolic Taiku . Pius XII. appointed him on December 9, 1948 Vicar Apostolic of Taiku and Titular Bishop of Anthedon . On January 30, 1949, Paul Marie Kinam Ro , Vicar Apostolic of the Bishop of Seoul , ordained him bishop with the assistance of Adrien-Jean Larribeau , former Vicar Apostolic of Seoul, and Jean-Germain Mousset , former Vicar Apostolic of Taiku.

His motto was Caritas et Omnia .
