John Berry (diplomat)
John Berry (born February 10, 1959 in Rockville , Maryland ) is an American diplomat .
Life
Berry studied at the University of Maryland , College Park, and Syracuse University . From 2000 to 2005, Berry was director of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation . From October 1, 2005 to April 13, 2009 he was director of the National Zoological Park . From 2009 to 2013 he was Director of the United States Office of Personnel Management . From September 25, 2014 to September 2016, he was the successor to Jeff Bleich's Ambassador of the United States to Australia . On August 10, 2013, Berry married his longtime partner Curtis Yee at St Margaret's Episcopal Church in Washington, DC
