John F. Jungclaussen

John Frederik Jungclaussen (* 1970 ) is a German journalist and historian who works in Great Britain.

Jungclaussen writes and gives lectures on the history of Europe since the Enlightenment , on German-British relations and current events in Europe. Jungclaussen doesn't think the UK economy will ever do better because of Brexit . However, he is just as skeptical about the long-term success of the European project.

After studying economics and history at the University of London , he received his doctorate from Niall Ferguson at Oxford.

Jungclaussen currently works as a business correspondent for Die Zeit in London. He also writes for Cicero and British newspapers and appears as a political commentator on radio and television programs for the BBC .

In 2004 he received the Herbert Quandt Media Prize for the book Creator and Destroyer , which he co-edited .
