John Hahn

John Hahn (born October 30, 1776 in New Hanover , Montgomery County , Pennsylvania , †  February 26, 1823 there ) was an American politician . Between 1815 and 1817 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

Career

John Hahn attended the public schools in his home country. After a subsequent medical degree and his license as a doctor, he began to practice in this profession. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Republican Party .

In the congressional elections of 1814 Hahn was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the second constituency of Pennsylvania , where he succeeded Roger Davis on March 4, 1815 . Until March 3, 1817 he was able to complete a legislative period in Congress . After his time in the US House of Representatives, Hahn was again active as a doctor and in agriculture. He died on February 26, 1823 in his native New Hanover.
