John Haslem
John Haslem (* 1808 ; † 1884 ) was an English artist and author .
He is best known for his miniature portraits of Queen Victoria and her family.

Haslem was born in Carrington, now Greater Manchester . He worked in London , where he created various portraits of the royal family and other nobles on porcelain and enamel . During his lifetime he had an exhibition in the South Kensington Museum, now the Victoria and Albert Museum, from 1862 to 1865 . From 1857 he lived in Derby , where he also devoted himself to the history of porcelain painting. In 1876 his book "The Old Derby China Factory" was published.
