John Junkin
John Francis Junkin (born January 29, 1930 in Ealing , London , † March 7, 2006 in Stoke Mandeville , Aylesbury ) was a British radio, television and film actor and screenwriter.
He became known for his appearances on various television comedy shows. In 1960 Junkin attended Joan Littlewood's Stratford East Theater Workshop and starred in Sparrer's Can't Sing . A little later he moved to the Royal Court Theater Company . Then he switched to television, where he impersonated various roles, most famous being his comedic roles and his appearances as a television quiz master . He died of lung cancer.
