John Mair

John Mair (born November 20, 1963 ) is a retired Jamaican athlete .

Mair was at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1987 in Caracas third in the 100 and 200-meter run . In the same year he won the bronze medal behind the teams from the United States and the Soviet Union at the World Athletics Championships in Rome in the 4-by-100-meter relay together with Andrew Smith , Clive Wright and Raymond Stewart .

At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Mair finished fourth in the relay, while he was eliminated in the quarter-finals in the 100-meter run. In 1990 he won the 100 meter Jamaican championships. In the same year he won bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland in both the 4-by-100-meter relay and in the 4-by-400-meter relay . At the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 , he reached sixth place with the 4 x 100 meter relay. In the same year he was in Xalapa Central America and Caribbean champions over 100 meters.
