Clive Wright

Clive Wright ( Clive George Wright Jr .; born November 18, 1965 in Dover , Saint Mary Parish ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who had his greatest successes in the 200-meter run .

1987 in Caracas he was in Caracas Central America and Caribbean champion over 200 m. At the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , he won the bronze medal behind the teams from the United States and the Soviet Union in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with John Mair , Andrew Smith and Raymond Stewart . Over 200 m, however, he was eliminated in the semifinals, although he set his personal best of 20.50 seconds.

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 Wright finished fourth in the relay and was eliminated over 200 m in the quarter-finals. At the Commonwealth Games in Auckland in 1990 , he won bronze medals in both the 4-by-100-meter relay and in the 4-by-400-meter relay . 1991 won silver over 200 m at the Central America and Caribbean Championships in Xalapa. Over this distance he reached the semifinals of the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

Clive Wright is 1.75 m tall and weighed 73 kg at competition times. He was a total of four times Jamaican champion over 200 m (1987, 1988, 1989 and 1992).
