John Parricelli (born April 5, 1959 in Evesham ) is a British jazz guitarist who tours internationally and mainly appears as a sideman .

Parricelli began his professional musical career as a guitarist in 1982. He was a founding member of the British big band Loose Tubes , with whom he recorded three albums. He played with Annie Whitehead , Kenny Wheeler , Norma Winstone , Lee Konitz , Paul Motian , Tim Whitehead , Chris Laurence , Eddie Parker , Peter Erskine , Vince Mendoza , Julian Argüelles , Iain Ballamy 's Acme , the Mark Lockheart Quartet , Andy Sheppard , Colin Towns, and the Martin Speake Quintet .

Since 1997 he has made numerous contributions to film scores as a musician, for example for Billy Elliot - I Will Dance (2000), The Proof - Love Between Genius and Wahnsinn (2005), Happy-Go-Lucky or Milk (both 2008).

As a member of the Lars Danielsson - Tarantella formation , Parricelli plays alongside the trumpeter Mathias Eick and the pianist Leszek Możdżer at the JazzBaltica 2010 festival .
