John R. Ragazzini

John Ralph Ragazzini (born 1912 in New York , NY ; † November 22, 1988 in New Rochelle ) was an American electronics engineer and professor of electrical engineering at New York University .

He first studied at the City College of New York and graduated with a BS in 1932 and an EE in 1936. He received the degrees of AM and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in 1939 and 1941.

Important students of Ragazzini were Rudolf Kálmán and Lotfi Asker Zadeh .
