John Albert Trillo

John Albert Trillo ( July 4, 1915 - August 2, 1992 ) was a Bishop of the Church of England .

life and career

John Trillo attended the Quintin Kynaston Community Academy and King's College in London . In 1938, Trillo was ordained a curate before becoming a freelance speaker in St. Michaels Congregation in Cricklewood . From 1945 he became the managing director of the Christian Student Union as well as pastor of the Friern Barnet region and lecturer at King's College.

He later became dean of Bishop's College in Cheshunt . Trillo was only ordained Bishop of Bedford in 1963, then Bishop of Hertford in 1968 and finally Bishop of Chelmsford in 1971. After retiring, he assisted as bishop for another seven years.
