John W. Holmes
John W. Holmes ( April 12, 1917 - May 25, 2001 ) was a film editor .
Life
Holmes' activity as editor is limited to the period from 1964 to 1981. In 1964, Holmes took over the editing of an episode of the television series The Seaview - On a Secret Mission . Subsequently he worked primarily for cinema productions, as well as some television films.
In 1972 he received an Oscar nomination with Stuart Gilmore . Together they worked on the film Andromeda - Deadly Dust from Space .
Another highlight was his participation in the 1971 James Bond film James Bond 007 - Diamond Fever , for which he was responsible for editing together with Bert Bates .
