John Wartique

John Wartique (born June 25, 1990 ) is a Belgian racing car driver . He started in the GP3 series in 2012 .

Career

Wartique began his motorsport career in 2003 in karting , in which he was active until 2008. He started in the French kart championship. In 2008 he took part in unofficial test drives in a formula car .

Initially, however, Wartique switched to sports car racing . He was runner-up in the French Peugeot Sport 207 championship in 2009 with four podium finishes . In 2010 and 2011 he appeared again in this series. In 2010 he was ninth overall, and in 2011 he was on the podium. In addition, he competed in the Renault Clio Cup in 2011 and achieved a podium finish.

In 2012 , Wartique switched to formula racing. The decisive factor for the change was that his driving style suited a monoposto . He decided to jump straight into the GP3 series . There he took part in five of eight events for Atech CRS GP . He was left without points.
