Changes in the drivers

The following list contains all drivers who took part in the 2011 GP3 series and who do not start for the same team in the 2012 season as in 2011.

Drivers who have changed their team:

Drivers entering or returning to the GP3 series:

Drivers who have left the GP3 series:

Drivers who do not yet have a contract for a racing cockpit 2012:

Changes in the teams

  • ART Grand Prix expresses the connection to the automobile manufacturer Lotus from the 2012 season more clearly and reported the team as Lotus GP instead of Lotus ART . Instead of being painted in British Racing Green , the team, like all Lotus factory teams, competed in a black and gold color scheme in 2012.

Changes during the season

  • John Wartique lost his cockpit at the Atech CRS Grand Prix after the third race weekend due to budget problems. Fabio Gamberini initially took his place for a race. As the season progressed, Regalia, who had previously driven for Jenzer Motorsport, also competed in this vehicle at a race weekend.

Racing calendar

In 2012, eight racing weekends took place, all of them as part of the Formula 1 supporting program . The GP3 series accompanied the GP2 series to every European event this season. For the first time, GP3 races were held on the Circuit de Monaco .
