Pedro Enrique Nunes (born August 22, 1988 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian racing driver . He started under the name Pedro Enrique until 2009 . Since 2010 he has been playing as Pedro Nunes . He competed in the GP3 series in 2010 and 2011 .

Career

After Enrique had started his motorsport career in karting , he switched to formula racing in 2006 and competed in the South American Formula 3 . He finished his debut season in tenth place overall. In addition, he competed in a Brazilian Formula Renault race . In 2007 he started in ten races each of the Northern European Formula Renault, which he finished in 30th place, and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup , in which he remained without points. He also competed in four South American Formula 3 races in his home country. In 2008 Enrique concentrated on his involvement in the South American Formula 3 and was runner-up for Cesário Fórmula with five wins.

In 2009 Enrique returned to Europe and started for Manor Motorsport in the Formula 3 Euro Series . He did not manage to score points and at the end of the season he finished 27th overall. He also appeared as a guest driver in the British Formula 3 championship . In 2010 , the racing driver, who started this season under the name Pedro Nunes , switched to the newly founded GP3 series for the French racing team ART Grand Prix . At the end of the season he finished 24th overall. In 2011 , Nunes stayed with his team, which started this season as Lotus ART , and played his second season in the GP3 series. Two events before the end of the season he was replaced by Richie Stanaway . While his teammates and his successor recorded victories, Nunes remained without points. He finished the season in 32nd place overall. He also took part in a racing weekend in the British Formula 3 Championship and achieved third place.
