Vittoria "Vicky" Piria (born November 11, 1993 in Milan ) is an Italian racing driver . She competed in the GP3 series in 2012 .

Career

Piria started her motorsport career in 2003 in kart racing , in which she was active until 2008. In 2009 she switched to formula racing . It made its debut in Formula Lista junior , but left the series after the first race weekend. She then drove two races in the Italian Formula Renault and six races in the Italian Formula 2000 Light. After the season she also took part in the winter series of the Italian Formula 2000 Light.

In 2010 Piria switched to Formula Abarth , where she competed for Tomcat Racing . She remained without points and finished the season on the 34th championship course. In 2011 she switched to the Prema Powerteam within Formula Abarth and scored her first points. Her best individual placement was an eighth place. She was 15th in the Italian ranking and 18th in the European ranking. In both ratings she was beaten by her teammate Luca Ghiotto .

In 2012 Piria competed in the GP3 series for Trident Racing . Together with Carmen Jordá and Alice Powell, she became the first female racing driver to compete in this championship. Piria remained without points and finished 26th in the drivers' championship.

After a season in the Euroformula Open in 2013, where she finished 10th, and four races in the Pro Mazda Championship, Piria temporarily retired from racing. In 2019 she will compete in the W Series .
