The European Formula 3 Championship 2018 was the 17th season of the European Formula 3 Championship . It was the last season held in this format. The European Formula 3 Championship and the GP3 series were merged to form the FIA Formula 3 Championship for the following season . Mick Schumacher won the driver's title at the end of the season.

Changes in the teams

Ma-con Motorsport will start in the European Formula 3 championship in 2018 after a few years of interruption with a vehicle. The last time was in 2013 . Fortec Motorsports is returning to the European Formula 3 championship for the 2nd race weekend at Hungaroring . The last time they started was 2015.

Racing calendar

The race weekend in Pau is an independent event. The race in Silverstone is part of the supporting program of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the race in Spa-Francorchamps takes place as part of the Blancpain Endurance Series . The other seven events will be held as part of the DTM's supporting program . There are three races per event.
