Kiki Sukezane ( Japanese祐 真 キ キSukezane Kiki , born April 5, 1989 in Kyōto , Kyōto Prefecture ) is a Japanese actress and martial artist .

life and career

Kiki Sukezane comes from Kyoto, Japan. She is a descendant of Samurai . After completing secondary school, she initially took on various part-time jobs and traveled to Tanzania as a development worker . After returning to Japan, she began a two-year acting course in Tokyo . She then moved to Los Angeles in the United States, where she lived temporarily for the first time as a student on a student exchange program in South Dakota and learned the English language .

In 2012, she took on her first acting role in the movie Death Yankee 2 . She was also featured in the sequel, which was published a year later. Also in 2013 she took on a recurring role as Nuko in the series The Yokai King , which she played until 2014. A year later, she took on the role of Miko Otomo in Heroes Reborn . She already lived in Los Angeles and was part of the Samurai Swording Fight Club in Santa Monica . With an explicit search for an actress with sword fighting experience, she was cast for the role through connections with the show's cast team.

In 2017 she played a supporting role in the miniseries Code Name Mirage . With her roles from 2018, she managed to expand her popularity to a larger audience. She was seen as Aiko Watanabe in a supporting role in the Netflix series Lost in Space and took on the role of Sakura in the second season of the HBO series Westworld . In 2019 she took on the role of Yuko Tanabe in the second season of the anthology series The Terror .
