action

In Tokyo in the 1980s, an enigmatic expatriate is suspected of the murder of her friend. She was in a love triangle with photographer Teiji.

reception

Fionnuala Halligan from Screen Daily rates the film positively overall and describes it as visually authentic thanks to the work of scene designer Yohei Taneda and the camerawork of Chung Chong-hoon. Alicia Vikander would then take care of the action and perform well. The music of Atticus and Leopold Ross catch the genre and the time well and ensure joy. As a result, Halligan reminds the film of a fateful affair and female, single, young seeks… . Hollywood Reporter's Stephen Dalton is much more critical of the Earthquake Bird . The film has everything that makes a top title, but the implementation is too weak, many plot elements seemed too familiar and implausible. There would be little tension and surprises. The main characters appeared dispassionate in their relationships. But like Halligan, he also praises the music and camera work. Vikander is also honored, as she gives life to an expressionlessly written and unsympathetic figure and convinces with her Japanese.
