Jehan Daruvala (born October 1, 1998 in Mumbai ) is an Indian racing driver . He will start in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2020 .

Daruvala began his motorsport career in karting in 2011 , where he remained active until 2014. Among other things, he was the 2012 Asia-Pacific Champion in the KF3 category. In 2014 he reached second place in the German kart championship and third place in the CIK-FIA world championship. During his karting days he was accepted as a winner in the One in a Billion talent screening of the Formula 1 racing team Force India .

In 2015 Daruvala made his debut in formula racing and competed for Fortec Motorsport in the Northern European Formula Renault . With three podium finishes, he finished his debut season in fifth place. He also made guest starts for Fortec in the Alpine Formula Renault and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . In 2016 Daruvala started in the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand for M2 Competition . He won three races and was second behind his teammate Lando Norris with 789 to 924 points . Then he drove again in Europe. For Josef Kaufmann Racing he reached ninth place overall in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and with a win he finished fourth in the Northern European Formula Renault. Norris was his teammate again and won both championships.

In early 2017 Daruvala returned to the Toyota Racing Series at M2 Motorsport. With two wins, he was fifth overall. Then came Daruvala in the European Formula 3 Championship in 2017 and 2018 for Carlin on.

In 2019 he switched to the FIA ​​Formula 3 Championship, where he competed for the Prema Powerteam . He finished the season behind his two teammates Marcus Armstrong and Robert Shwartzman in third place. He won 2 races and made it onto the podium 7 times.

After Force India went bankrupt, the team's junior program also ended. However, Daruvala has been part of the Red Bull Junior Program since the 2020 season , which also gave him the opportunity to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship . As a team-mate of Yuki Tsunoda, also Red Bull Junior, he will compete for Carlin again.
