William Buller (2013)

William Buller (born September 17, 1992 in Scarva , County Down ) is a British racing driver . He competed in the Super Formula in 2015 .

Career

After Buller had started his motorsport career in kart racing , he switched to the T-Cars series in 2007 , in which racing drivers between the ages of 14 and 17 drove limousines , and immediately became runner-up behind Daniel Brown . In 2008 he switched to the single-seater racing and raced in the European Formula BMW . With a fourth place as the best result, he was twelfth in the championship. In addition, he started in several races in various racing series. In winter 2008/2009 he competed in the New Zealand Toyota Racing Series and was tenth overall with two wins. He then took part in the European Formula BMW again and, with third place as the best result, improved to tenth place overall. He also made a guest start in the Pacific Formula BMW, where he was the first to cross the finish line.

After winning the F3 Brazil Open in 2010 , he switched to the British Formula 3 championship for Hitech Racing in 2010 . With two second places as the best results, he finished eighth overall. In 2011 , Buller stayed in the British Formula 3 Championship and moved to Fortec Motorsport . With three wins he finished the season in fourth place in the drivers' championship. Buller was the only non- Carlin pilot in the top six positions.

In 2012 Buller competed for Carlin in the GP3 series and the Formula 3 Euro series . In the Formula 3 Euro Series, Buller won two races this season and finished fifth overall. It was also rated in the European Formula 3 championship in 2012 . There he was in sixth place. In the GP3 series, Buller achieved 15th place in the drivers' standings with a win. So he lost to his teammate António Félix da Costa , who was third. In 2013 Buller switched to ThreeBond with T-Sport and initially competed in the European Formula 3 championship. After the first four race weekends, Buller left his racing team and completed the fifth event for Fortec Motorsport. Then he left the series. With fourth place as the best result, he was 16. Buller finally entered the Formula Renault 3.5 for Zeta Corse for the fifth race weekend . There were three fifth places his best results. He finished the season on the eleventh championship course. Buller was also active in British Formula 3 for Fortec Motorsport in 2013 . With two wins and a total of six podium finishes, he reached third place overall.

In 2014 Buller stayed in Formula Renault 3.5 and switched to Arden Motorsport . Except for a fourth place in the first and a third place in the last race, he never crossed the finish line beyond tenth place. Buller finished the season in 16th place overall and was clearly defeated by his team-mate Pierre Gasly , who finished second, with 30 to 192 points. He also took part in the Macau Grand Prix and as a guest starter at an event of the European Formula 3 championship.

In 2015 Buller moved to Japan in the Super Formula for Kondō Racing . Four 13th places were his best results.

In 2016 , Buller took part in two Formula V8 3.5 races, the renamed Formula Renault 3.5, for RP Motorsport . He also drove a racing weekend in the European Formula 3 championship for Carlin.
