Beitske Visser (born March 10, 1995 in Dronten ) is a Dutch car racing driver . She competed in Formula V8 3.5 from 2014 to 2016 .

Career

Visser began her motorsport career in karting in 2000 , in which she remained active until 2012. Among other things, she won the KZ2 class of the WSK Master Series in 2010 and came second in the WSK Euro Series. 2012 changed Visser in the single-seater racing and was a cockpit in from Motopark Academy supervised Team Lotus in the ADAC Formula Masters . Visser won two races. While her team-mate Marvin Kirchhöfer won the championship, Visser was eighth in the drivers' standings. In 2013 she stayed with the racing team in the ADAC Formula Masters. Visser won a race and finished the season again in eighth place overall. This year Visser was promoted by Red Bull . She became the first woman to receive support from Red Bull in formula racing.

In 2014 Visser moved to AVF in Formula Renault 3.5 . With a fifth place as the best result, she reached 21st place overall. She lost to her teammate Zoël Amberg with 11 to 66 points. In addition, Visser competed for Hilmer Motorsport in the 2014 season opener of the GP3 series . In 2015 Visser contested her second season in Formula Renault 3.5 for AVF. At Spa-Francorchamps she achieved the second fastest time in the first qualifying. However, she was excluded from the qualifying classification and moved to the end of the field because the underbody of the vehicle did not comply with the regulations. In the drivers' championship she was 23rd. So she was internally defeated by Alfonso Celis Jr. with 3 to 17 points. Visser also competed for Trident Racing at a 2015 GP3 series event .

In 2016 , Formula Renault 3.5 was renamed Formula V8 3.5. Visser had initially signed a contract with Pons Racing . However, the racing team got out of the championship at short notice, so Visser switched to Teo Martín Motorsport . With a fifth place as the best result, she finished the championship in 13th place.

In mid-2017 she was accepted into the BMW Motorsport Junior Program.

In 2018 she competed with Nico Menzel for the RN Vision STS team in the GT4 European Series . There she finished sixth out of 31 drivers in the silver (professional) category.

As a test driver for Andretti Autosport , Visser took part in the test day in Ad Diriyah in December 2018 , where she shared a car with Alexander Sims . She remained a test driver for the team for the rest of the season, but had no appearances.

In January 2019, she qualified for the first season of the W Series . In this championship she finally achieved second place, with a race win and 4 podium finishes. In the same year she competed in six races at the International GT Open and achieved a podium finish with Richard Gonda .
