The British Formula 3 Championship 2013 was the 63rd season of the British Formula 3 Championship . It comprised four race weekends with three races each. It started on May 25th at Silverstone and ended on September 22nd at the Nürburgring .
On January 28, the organizers announced that the racing calendar would be reduced from nine to four events. This step was justified with the great competition from the European Formula 3 Championship , which presents the British Formula 3 Championship with a "difficult and uncertain future".
Two of the four race weekends, Silverstone and Brands Hatch, were held as part of the British GT Championship , the races at Spa took place as part of the 24-hour race and the event at the Nürburgring was held as part of the Blancpain Endurance Series .
