He also made three guest starts in Formula Abarth for BVM . Giovinazzi won two races and finished second once. Since he was a guest starter, he received no points for these results.
Formula 3
In 2013 Giovinazzi switched completely back to Europe and started for Double R Racing in the European Formula 3 championship . He finished the season in 17th place overall and was the only driver on his team to score points. Giovinazzi won two races and was on the podium five more times. While Blomqvist finished second, Giovinazzi improved to sixth place in the drivers' standings.
In 2015 Giovinazzi stayed with Jagonya Ayam with Carlin in the European Formula 3 Championship. Although Gelael was no longer his teammate, his family continued to support him. He was always on the podium in the first nine races and won a race in Hockenheim and the Grand Prix de Pau . This was followed by further victories in Nuremberg , Zandvoort , Spielberg and Hockenheim. He finished the season with 412.5 to 508 points behind Felix Rosenqvist in second place.
